Md Mejba Uddin Ali, chairman of Wega Group, was appointed chairman of the newly constituted Board of Trustees (BoT) of BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) at the board’s inaugural meeting on September 28.
At the meeting, members discussed matters related to the university’s governance, administration and future development.
The BoT reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening BUFT’s academic and institutional capabilities and supporting its continued growth.
The board also discussed the importance of enhancing BUFT’s contribution to education and professional skills development in Bangladesh’s textile, apparel and fashion industries.
It discussed strategic initiatives to further align the university’s academic programs and skills development efforts with the evolving needs of the industry.
