A major earthquake has jolted the region, causing panic among the people in the capital and parts of the country.
Nearly half an hour after the first tremor, aftershocks were felt again around 12:45pm.
The magnitude of the quake was 7.9 in Richter scale and the epicentre was 29km south east of Lamjung, Nepal, according to USGS.
The first tremor struck around 12:15pm Saturday and lasted approximately three to five minutes.
In Dhaka, people were seen rushing out of their houses and office buildings and onto the streets for safety.
A six-storey building has tilted at Bangshal in the old part of the capital during the quake.
In Pabna, a woman died after she fell on the road being panicked during the earthquake.
At least 25 workers of a garment factory in Savar have been injured while trying to exit during the earthquake.
Our correspondents from across the country reported that the quake was felt in Chittagong, Tangail, Kishoreganj, Munshiganj, Jessore, Dinajpur and Chuadanga.
In Nepal, many buildings have reportedly collapsed during the quake, BBC reported.
Tremors were felt in Indian capital Delhi and other cities in northern India, which borders Nepal.
