Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has reached Kunming on a six- day official visit to China at the invitation of her Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang. A VVIP flight of Bangladesh Biman carrying the prime minister and members of her entourage landed at Kunming Changshui International Airport at 11:25am local time, reports BSS.
On her arrival a red carpet reception was accorded to the premier.
Bangladesh Ambassador to China Azizul Haque and Vice-Governor of Yunnan Province Mme Li Jiheng received the prime minister at the airport. After a warm welcome at the airport, Sheikh Hasina was taken to Green Lake Hotel through a ceremonial motorcade where she will reside during her stay in Kunming. Earlier, the prime minister and members of her entourage left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka for Kunming around 7:35am.
