AMA Muhith has proposed Tk16,462 corers for the Defence Services that includes the ministry and the Armed Forces Division.
The proposed allocation, which is Tk1,282 crore bigger than the outgoing fiscal’s allocation, is 6.6% of the total FY2014-15 budget.
The Ministry of Defence is to get Tk16,220 crore and its other services Tk220 crore. The Armed Forces Division will Tk22 crore.
In the previous fiscal, defence allocation was Tk15,180 crore.
