The railway communication on Dhaka-Chittagong and Chittagong-Sylhet routes have been halted as four bogies of a Dhaka-bound train derailed on Muhuri Bridge in Feni early Thursday.
Feni Railway Station Master Mahbubul Alam said: “The Dhaka bound goods-laden train derailed around 4:30am as some miscreants removed the fish plates of the railway track.”
He said: “Two rescue trains from Laksham and Akhaura went to the spot. The rescue operation has been started and the railway communication will be restored within the evening."
