A fire broke out at the third floor of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban in the capital on Wednesday morning.
Salim Khan, deputy sergeant-at-arms of Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban, confirmed about the fire to the Dhaka Tribune.
“The fire broke out at the third floor (Canteen Block) of the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban at 8:30am," he said.
On information, two fire fighter units from Mohammadpur and Tejgaon rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control at 9:10am.
The reasons behind the fire could not be known immediately and no casualties were reported.
No officials were allowed to enter into the Jatiya Sangsad Bhaban till filing of this report at 9:33am, he added.
