Journalist Benazir dies

Benazir Ahmed, former acting editor of the Daily Bhorer Kagoj has died of a cardiac arrest at a city hospital on Tuesday. 

He was 69.

He expired at about 4:10am at Ibn Sina Hospital in the capital, reports BSS.

He was admitted to the hospital with massive cardiac pain in the early hours of Tuesday.

The body of the confirmed bachelor has been kept at the mortuary of BIRDEM Hospital in the capital.

His body will be taken first to the Bhorer Kagoj Office at 11am Wednesday and his first namaj-e-janaza will be held there.

Later, the body will be taken to Jatiya Press Club at about 12 noon to pay last respect to him and his second namaj-e-janaza will be held there.

He will be buried at Banani Graveyard after the Zohr prayers after his last namaj-e-janaza there.

He was also the Managing Editor of the daily for a long time.

Benazir Ahmed had been suffering from serious heart diseases for several years.
