Mizanur's body was taken to the hospital after the conduction of an autopsy around 3pm on Sunday.

BGB's Cox's Bazar unit Sector Commander Col Farid Hasan said a three-member panel of doctors led by Cox's Bazar Sadar hospital residential medical officer, Dr Sultan Ahmed Siraji, conducted Mizanur's autopsy.

Mizanur's body will be taken to the BGB's 31 battalion headquarter in Naikkhangchari on Monday morning. His namaz-e-janaza will be held there at 9am.

Later, his body will be taken to his home district, Comilla. He will be buried there in state honour.

Myanmar’s Border Guard Police (BGP) handed over the body of Mizanur on Saturday afternoon.

Mizanur Rahman was killed and two other BGB personnel went missing on May 30 during the firing incidents.
