At least 30 people were injured when a double-decker toppled over yesterday afternoon at Baliapur bus stand area on the Dhaka-Aricha highway in Savar.
Witnesses said around 2pm yesterday, a Nabinagar-bound BRTC double-decker lost control and collided head-on with a roadside tree at Baliapur bus stand area in Savar.
The bus then toppled over on the highway, leaving 30 passengers injured.
Officer-in-Charge Mustafa Kamal of Savar Model police station said the injured were admitted to different local hospitals and three of them were shifted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital because of their critical conditions.
The bus was recovered later, the OC added.
