A single episode play “Shukher Betha” will air at 9pm tonight on NTV. The plot revolves around a dissatisfied couple Arko and Ruma. Both of them are stuck in a loveless and unhappy marriage, but refuses to walk away from the relationship. A frustrated Arko shares his state of affairs with his friend Purna, who just arrived from abroad with a degree in psychology. Arko is so bitter with his marriage that he seeks help from Purna to kill Ruma. Purna advices Akro not to take such a drastic step as it will draw unwanted attention and complications. Instead, she suggests that he slow-poison Ruma which will gradually kill her. However, she agrees on helping Arko under one condition only, she demands that he treats Ruma like a queen for the remaining duration of her life.
“Shukher Betha” is written by Shafiqur Rahman Shantanu and directed by Chayanika Chowdhury. The drama features Apurbo, Momo and Nazneen Hasan Chumki in lead roles.
