Shab-e-Barat on June 13

The Shab-e-Barat falls on the night of June 13 (Friday), a meeting of the national moon sighting committee has announced on Thursday.

The meeting of the committee was held in the conference room of Islamic Foundation here with Secretary of Religious Affairs Ministry and Vice-Chairman of the committee Chowdhury M Babul Hasan in the chair, said BSS.

Principal information officer of PID Tasir Ahmad, joint secretary M Maksudur Rahman Patwari and Baitul Mukarram Khatib Professor Moulana Mohammad Salah Uddin, among others, were present at the meeting.

According to Muslim belief, on this night, Allah, the almighty, decides the fate of all human beings

After considering the reports received from all the district administrations, head and regional offices of the Islamic Foundation and Bangladesh Meteorological Directorate, the meeting confirmed that the Sha'ban moon of Hijri 1435 was not sighted yesterday, the 30th day of the Rajab month, in Bangladesh.

Therefore, the Sha'ban month begins on Saturday and Shab-e- Barat will be observed on June 13.

According to Muslim belief, on this night, Allah, the almighty, decides the fate of all human beings for the coming year taking into account their past deeds.
