Outlaw killed in 'gunfight' with RAB

An operative of banned outfit “Sarbahara” has been killed in a “gunfight” with RAB personnel at Hothath village under Ishwardi upazila in Pabna on Thursday afternoon.

The deceased was identified as Abdul Hamid, 36, a members of regional outfit Sarbahara.

RAB-12 Commanding Officer Jamil Ahmed told the Dhaka Tribune that the Sarbahara operative was killed during a “gunfight” with the RAB members around 5:30pm.

Two RAB personnel -- Rana, 25, and Mojijur, 30 -- were received bullet wounds during the “gunfight”. They were admitted to Pabna Medical College Hospital.

RAB recovered a pistl and eight rounds of bullets from the spot.
