Jatiya Party has nominated Salim Osman for contesting in Narayanganj 5 by-polls.
The decision has come from a meeting of the party’s Parliamentary Board with JaPa Chairman HM Ershad in the chair.
The meeting was held at the party’s Banani office in the capital on Wednesday.
Meanwhile, Salim collected nomination papers from the district election office at Narayanganj core complex building on the same day.
Narayanganj-5 constituency fell vacant following the death of Jatiya Party lawmaker Nasim Osman on April 30.
The by-election of Narayanganj-5 constituency will be held on June 26.
