A storm has killed at least two people and injured 30 others in Bakshiganj upazila, Jamalpur.
The storm that struck at about 10am on Wednesday uprooted several trees in the upazila and destroyed over a hundred houses and establishments.
The deceased were identified as Masum, 28, and Abul Kalam Salu, 50. Bakshiganj police station Officer-in-Charge Mostasinur Rahman endorsed the deaths.
Sarishabari upazila's Pogaldiga union Chairman Masud Parvez said that a nor'wester devastated houses and uprooted trees in Doail, Mulpara and Nayapara areas.
The storm ravaged through Bakshiganj upazila's Saramara, Gopalpur and nearby areas and damaged over a hundred houses and establishments.
