Bangladesh women bagged two gold medals in the eighth NSKA International Martial Arts Karate Championship yesterday which is being held in Kathmandu, Nepal.
Bangladesh women’s team comprising Munni Khanam, Nasima Akter Jui and Mariam Khatun Bipasa defeated Nepalese team consisting Krisa Sherpa, Renuka Pandey and Rojina Kamal to clinch gold in the women’s kata team event.
Nasima Akter Jui brought Bangladesh another gold in the women’s singles Kumi event (above 18 years) as she beat Ramila Nagorkot of Nepal to win her second gold medal of the day. Sunita of Nepal and Mahima Khatun of Pakistan won bronze.
