Socio-political-cultural activists have demanded immediate arrest of Narayanganj-4 constituency lawmaker Shamim Osman after the conversation between Shamim and Nur Hossain leaked.
They also alleged that Shamim Osman was involved in the sensational seven murder in Narayanganj.
Santrash Nirmul Twaki Mancha, a platform protesting the murder of Tanvir Muhammad Twaki, came up with the demand on Friday afternoon.
Twaki Mancha convener Rafiur Rabbi and member secretary Halim Azad made the demand in a media statement.
According to the statement: “Telephone conversation between Nur Hossain and Shamim Osman has proved that the lawmaker was behind the gruesome murders.
We want the arrest of Shamim Osman immediately and also urge the government to ensure a fair investigation into the murder case."
A phone conversation between Shamim Osman and Nur Hossain, prime accused in Narayanganj seven murder case, has been leaked. Private television channel Channel 24 broadcast the conversation on Friday.
