A mild earthquake has jolted across country including capital Dhaka around 10:30pm on Wednesday.
Abul Kalam Mollick , an official of meteorological department (BMB) has told the Dhaka Tribune.
It was measured on Richter scale 6.1. The epicentre of the earthquake was at the Urissa coast Bay of Bengal, he added.
The impact of the earthquake was stronger in the Indian Portion; however some districts of Bangladesh closer to the epicentre felt it as well.
No casualty or of destruction have been known till filling up of this report at 11:15pm.
