Customs officials have seized gold over two kilograms worth around Tk1 crore from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport. One person has been detained.
The detainee Sujon, 22, arrived in a Tiger Airways flight, from Singapore, around 11pm on Sunday.
Dhaka Customs Assistant Commissioner Ishrat Jahan said the man was detained upon a tip-off. “Gold weighing 2.1kg was seized from him.”
