Three people have been killed in a boiler explosion in a rice mill at Darabazaar of Haluaghat of Mymensingh early Saturday.
Haluaghat police station Officer-in-Charge Zakiur Rahman has confirmed the Dhaka Tribune about the deaths.
The deceased were identified as Alam, 30, Sultan, 28 and Hazrat, 27.
He said: “Six people have sustained burn injuries in the boiler blast at the rice mill at 6:30am on Saturday. Later, five injured were admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital where three of them were declared dead.”
Injured Rahmat, 40 and Razzak, 38 are under treatment at the hospital, the OC added.
