Omar Faruk of Dhaka Army Archery Club and Shakil Molla of Mahashtan Archery Club moved into the final of the Bamboo Division of the Cute 1st Archery Club Cup Championship at the Army Stadium yesterday.
In the women’s section of the Bamboo Division, Nandini Khan Swapna of Dhaka Army Archery Club along with her teammate Israt Jahan qualified for the gold medal match. The matches will take place today.
The finals of the Recurve Bow event will also take place today.
Jahid Ahsam Russell, the chairman of the parliamentary standing committee for the youth and sports ministry, inaugurated the meet as the chief guest. Lt. Gen. Md. Moinul Islam, the president of Bangladesh Archery Federation and general secretary of Bangladesh Archery Federation - Kazi Razivuddin Ahmed Chapal were also present on the occasion.
