Two people including a recently recruited doctor of Army Medical Corps have been killed in a bus-truck collision on Dhaka-Chittagong Highway at Barobkunda of Sitakunda upazila on Thursday morning.
The deceased were identified as Sanchita Biswas and Barek, 35.
Baraaulia highway police outpost officer-in-charge Syed Zakir Hossain has confirmed the deaths to the Dhaka Tribune.
Local people and police said a Hanif Paribahan bus from Dhaka collided with a truck coming from Chittagong near PHP Glass Factory at Barobkunda at 6:30am, leaving two injured.
Later, they were admitted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where the duty doctors declared them dead.
