The Walton 31st National Senior Men’s and 5th National Senior Women’s Wrestling will start at the kabaddi stadium tomorrow. The two-day event will host wrestling in eight weight categories in the men’s section as well as the women’s section.
Wrestlers from Bangladesh Army, BGB, Bangladesh Police, Bangladesh Ansar, Dhaka, Madaripur, Gazipur, Manikganj, Munshiganj, Kishoreganj, Comilla, Rajshahi, Chapai Nawabganj, Dinajpur, Panchagarh, Nilphamari, Khulna, Jessore, Narail, Rangpur, Kurigram, Kushtia and Gaibandha will participate in the competition.
BOA secretary general Syed Shahed Reza will inaugurate the tournament while Shajahan Khan, the honorable minister of shipping, will be present as the chief guest in the concluding ceremony.
In a press conference held at the Bangabandhu National Stadium yesterday, Tabiur Rahman Pahlawan, the general secretary of Bangladesh Wrestling Federation, revealed the details of the event to the media. Additional director of Walton AFM Iqbal bin Anwar Dawn, Walton brand ambassador Zobera Rahman Linu and other federation officials were also present among others on the occasion.
