Agriculture Minister Begum Matia Chowdhury has visited the family members of slain Narayanganj city corporation panel mayor Nazrul Islam and six others on Sunday.
During her visit, she consoled the relatives of the victims and said the accused will be found out through a proper investigation and brought to justice.
Matia said: “Our government is on zero tolerance for the accused involved in such a brutal incident.”
Deputy Commissioner of Narayanganj Anisur Rahman Mia, Superintendent of Police Dr Khandaker Mahid Uddin accompanied the minister during the visit.
