A Narayanganj court has granted one-day remand to Amanullah, the businessman from Narayanganj who was found a day after he went into hiding.
Senior Judicial Magistrate Monowara Begum granted the remand after Bondor police produced Amanullah before him on Thursday afternoon.
Amanullah, proprietor of Bondhu Hosiery, owed Tk4.59 lakh in debt to his acquaintances in Gazipur. He went missing with the money on Monday.
“Aman was not abducted, he went to visit a friend in Magura,” newly-appointed Narayanganj police Superintendent Khandakar Muhid Uddin said in a press conference on Tuesday.
