Charu Ebong Onyanyo
Charu Ebong Onyanyo, a single episode drama adapted from Tagore’s novella Nastanirh will air on NTV at 9pm. The cast of the drama includes Anisur Rahman Milon, Bidya Sinha Saha Mim, Azizul Hakim, Majnun Mijan and others. The drama is adapted and directed by Tuhin Abonto.
The story is of a lonely housewife Charu. Since her husband is a wealthy lawyer who runs a press, she leads a comfortable and idle life. Her husband Bhupati is a workaholic who spends more time at work than at home. He notices her melancholic state and requests his cousin Amal to keep her company.
As time passes, their relationship move beyond the platonic state. Unwilling to betray his cousin any further, Amal leaves only to have Charu pick up the broken pieces of her relationship with Bhupati.
Rabindranather Khoje
Single episode drama Rabindranather Khoje will be aired at 9:05pm on Banglavision today. Directed and written by Kawnain Sourav, the drama features Sohana Saba, Anisur Rahman Milon, Rahmat Ali, Mita Chowdhury and many others. The story is about a young woman named Nabila who wants to marry Rabindranath. Her family fails to find Rabindranath for her and puts an ad in the newspaper in the hope of finding a man like Rabindranath. They get a host of reply to their advertisement but Nabila keeps on rejecting the candidates. Frustrated at the turnout, Nabila brings some orphans to live with her. Her family disapproves of her decision and their peaceful life is disrupted. Suddenly, a young man named Robi shows up at their doorstep. As time passes, they discover that Robi leads his life based on Rabindranath’s philosophy.
Shodor Ondor
Shodor Ondor, a special telefilm based on Tagore’s story will be aired on ATN Bangla today at 11pm. Scripted by Adnan Adib Khan and directed by Golam Shorab Dodul, the telefilm features Aupee Karim, Rawnak Hassan, Shaymol Mawla and many others. The story is adapted to the present time and revolves around the last descendant of a Zamindar (landlords) family. Arko is an orphan who takes life lightly and is unemployed. For his lack of interest, he loses his ancestral home along with all his other belongings. He then decides to become a musician as he is a music lover. He meets Romel, who is the managing director of an advertisement firm. They become friends and Romel lets Arko live in his house, promising him that he would promote Arko’s music. The two men become close and spend a lot of time together and Ethena, Romel’s wife feels neglected. The relationship between husband and wife suffers but finally they resolve their differences and Ethena become friends with Arko. Refusing to see their friendship as it is, a jealous Romel throws Arko out of his house.
