Narayangonj city corporation has rejected the appeal of BNP to gather a rally on 14 th May. BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia was supposed to present at the programme.
The law and order condition of the city is vulnerable right now and the place BNP chose to gather consists hospitals, so no public gathering will be allowed on that spot, City mayor Selina Hayat Ivy told the Dhaka Tribune.
Narayanganj has become a volatile place with some abductions and murders throughout the recent weeks.
