Activists of the Bangladesh Chhatra League have allegedly assaulted a student said to be a supporter of Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal at Dhaka University campus.
Hassan Mahmud, a third-year student of anthropology, was assaulted near the Faculty of Arts building around noon on Wednesday.
The assaulters were identified as Sadi, Nazmul and Abdur Rahman, followers of Jahurul Haque Hall Chhatra League unit President Rifat Rahman.
The assaulted student was attending treatments at Dhaka Medical College Hospital. He was an affiliate of the Chhatra Dal university unit.
However, the Jahurul Haque hall Chhatra League President Rifat Rahman refuted the allegations.
