Police, in a raid, have seized two shotguns and ammunitions from the houses of Nur Hossain’s elder brother and body guard in Tekpara area of Shiddhirganj on Tuesday afternoon.
The guns have been seized a day after the licenses of 11 arms of Nur Hossain were canceled by the Narayanganj administration.
Shiddhirganj police station Officer-in-Charge Abdul Matin said: “Police, in a drive, have seized two shotguns and ammunitions from the houses of Nur Hossain’s elder brother Nur Uddin and body guard Md Jamal Hossain in Tekpara area at 3:30pm.”
On Monday, Narayanganj administration cancelled the licenses of 11 arms which were permitted to Nur Hossain, the prime accused in the Narayanganj City Corporation Panel Mayor Nazrul Islam murder case.
Nazrul Islam and his four associates and lawyer Chandan Sarkar and his driver were abducted on April 27 and found dead in River Shitalakshya two days after they went missing.
