It was first published in the Strand Magazine in 1893 with original illustrations by Sidney Paget. Bangalee director Gazi Apple Mahmud made a single episode TV play Aral, based on the story of The Yellow Face. The play will air  on a private channel during Eid.

Scripted and dramatised by Gazi Apple Mahmud, the drama features popular soap actors including Toukir Ahmed, Sadia Islam Mou, Sohel Arman, Babu and others. This is the first time celebrated TV actors Taukir and Mou have paired up for a project.

The plot of the drama revolves around a woman named Joya who lost her husband and daughter in a tragic accident in the US. To get away from her grief, she moves back to Bangladesh and after a while, gets married to Faysal, who was aware of her traumatic past. He helps her to get over her despair and move forward into a happy future. But, soon their peaceful life is disrupted when they come to know that their neighbour's home is haunted. At one point, Faysal sees scary faces through the window of the house and discovers that his wife is no longer behaving like a sane adult. He decides to find a solution to the pressing problem and goes to the DB police to seek assistance.
