Within days of abduction and murder of seven people, another businessman has gone “missing” in Narayanganj.
The district police have been keen to learn the whereabouts of the businessman, Amanullah, who has been traceless since Monday morning.
Aman, proprietor of Bondhu Hosiery in Bandar area, was supposed to repay a debt of Tk4.59 lakh to one of his acquaintances in Gazipur. He left his Gazipur abode on Monday morning along with the money. His family was unable to contact him until filling of this report.
During the afternoon the man, whom Amanullah was supposed to meet Gazipur, visited his business place to collect the money. Being surprised, employees at Aman’s factory informed the police.
Akhter Morshed, OC of Bandar police station, then communicated with Aman's family who filed a general diary around 11pm.
On April 27, seven persons were kidnapped from Narayanganj and later they were found dead in the Sitalakhya River. On May 1, a businessman, Saiful Islam, was abducted from Narayanganj who was found alive on May 3.
