BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has claimed former dictator and Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad is the killer of Maj Gen Mazoor and Ziaur Rahman.
The BNP chief made the claim while a mass hunger strike programme in the capital on Sunday afternoon.
“Ershad is the killer of Monzoor and Ziaur Rahman. He should have to face trial,” she said.
She also asked the government not to walk with the killer.
“Not only Narayanganj, today, the entire country has become a valley of the dead,” Khaleda said.
The BNP chief threatened of tougher programmes, however remained aloof regarding any specifics.
“Now we are observing the situation, hoping that wisdom will dawn upon them [Awami League]. If needed, we will go for tougher agitation. Do not force us to do so.”
