SSJ express worry over recent abduction-killing

Sammilita Sangskritik Jote (SSJ) has expressed worry over the frequent abductions and killings which occurred recently across the country.

The cultural platform has brought out a black flag procession protesting the recent killings and abductions on Saturday afternoon at TSC of Dhaka University campus.

While speaking at the demonstration, SSJ president Nasir Uddin Yousuf Bacchu questioned the role of the home ministry as well as the government over the matter.

He said: “Frequent killing and abduction incidents have created a question on government’s responsibility and duty”

“People are now losing their trust in the government as they became anxious about safety issues”, Bacchu said.

He urged the home ministry to investigate every issue fairly and brought the miscreants under punitive action abiding criminal's political position.

Hasan Arif, secretary general of (SSJ), urged to create social prevention to these malpractices.

“We have to raise our voice and create strong social prevention against such misdoings”, he said.

While talking on recent Jamat-shibir attack over minority people and general students in recent days, the speakers also demanded immediate government action against such heinous attacks.

Among others, SSJ vice president Golam Kuddus, secretary general of Bangadesh Group Theater Federation Aktaruzzaman, Cultural activists Mofidul Haque spoke at the demonstration.
