One man was killed after falling from the roof of a multi-storey building in Chittagong city’s Bandartila area, yesterday.
The deceased, Md Abu Hanif, 32, from the Madaripur district, was an apparel worker, said police sources.
Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) Police Camp sources said Hanif climbed up to the water-tank on the rooftop to fetch water at around 6am and accidently slipped off the roof.
CMCH Police Camp In-Charge Sub-Inspector Jahirul Islam said: “Hanif was pronounced dead upon arrival by the on-duty doctors.”
The body was handed over to the victim’s family after completing all legislative formalities, he said.
