Railway police have recovered an AK-22 rifle along with huge ammunitions and bomb making materials in an abandoned state from the capital's Kamalapur Rail Station on Tuesday afternoon.
Purbanchal Railway Police Super Nazrul Islam confirmed the matter to the Dhaka Tribune.
He said: “An AK-22 rifle, huge ammunitions and bomb making materials have been recovered from the rail station. Police also found seven rounds of bullets, some magazines, three knives and an identity card from the same spot.”
However, police did not disclose the name of the ID card holder.
The recovery has taken place a day after the law enforcers arrested two persons along with a US-made automated AK-22 rifle, two magazines and eight round of bullets from an intercity train “Subarna Express” at Airport Railway Station in the capital.
