The US Embassy in Dhaka including its Consular Section will remain closed on May 1 (Thursday), on the occasion of May Day, a national holiday of Bangladesh.
The US Embassy in Dhaka issued a press release in this regard on Tuesday.
According to the press release, the American Center with the Archer K Blood American Center Library and the Education USA Student Advising Center will also remain closed on the Labour Day.
However, emergency services for American citizens will be available, and they can call 885-5500 for the duty officer.
