An eighth grader has been barred from school as her parent filed a General Diary (GD) with the police regarding torture on the daughter.
Afreen Jahan Nisha, an eighth grader at Nawapara Shankarpasha High School, told the journalists that she wanted to go back to school.
Her mother, Shikha Islam, told the media she locked in an altercation with the committee regarding alleged torture on her daughter at school on January 11.
In this regard she filed a general diary with Abhaynagar police station. “The school authorities asked my daughter not to attend school since.”
“They threatened to issue a transfer certificate against my daughter,” she alleged.
Headmaster of the school, Mahbubur Rahman, admitted that Nisha was asked to stop attending school because of an altercation between her guardian and the school committee.
Jessore Education Board Chairman Professor Amirul Alam Khan said he received a complaint in this regard and that an investigation was underway.
