The second meeting of the Saarc cabinet secretaries began at Ruposhi Bangla Hotel in Dhaka on Saturday morning.
The cabinet secretaries from Afghanistan, Bhutan, India, Nepal, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the host Bangladesh are participating in the two-day meeting.
Cabinet Secretary M Musharraf Hossain Bhuiyan is presiding over the meeting.
Earlier in the morning, cabinet secretaries and officials of equivalent status of Saarc countries called on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her Gonobhaban residence.
The meeting will discuss strategies to further expand the regional cooperation among the Saarc nations.
Representatives of the Saarc countries will put forward initiatives taken by their respective countries in the fields mentioned above, and exchange views on the best practices in this regard.
