Three snatchers have been killed in a lynch mob action at Sohadia village of Shreepur upazila early Saturday.
Of the deceased, one was identified as Nurul Islam, 27, son of Abul Hossain of Sohadia village.
Shreepur police station Officer-in-Charge Mohsinul Kadir confirmed the Dhaka Tribune about the deaths.
“Villagers chased the snatchers while they were trying to hijack a motorcycle. Later, the villagers captured the snatchers at Sohadia village and beaten them to death on the spot,” said the OC.
Police recovered the bodies in the morning.
