Beyoncé has been dubbed the most influential person in the world for the year 2014 by TIME.
The massively successful singer/songwriter is on top of TIME's “Top 100 Most Influential People” list.
Last year, Beyoncé was busy releasing her new album which came out in December. After a phenomenal effort, the album hit shelves complete with video sequences for every song. Despite breaking through industry sales records (and skewering a few rules in the process), the ever vigilant superwoman has still managed the time to be head of Parkwood Entertainment's board of directors.
Beyonce has been a radical modern feminist, and with her bold claims that girls “run the world” she has inspired countless women to become empowered and independent.
What makes Beyoncé even more special is the fact that she is a full time mother and still manages the time to sell out world tours and concert arenas. The stereotype of the working woman loosing her career after childbirth has been disproved without the shadow of a doubt.
A tribute to Beyoncé and her legacy of empowerment was written on TIME.com by another independent, powerhouse of a woman- Sheryl Sandberg. As the COO of Facebook and the founder of LeanIn.org, Sandberg began her article on Beyoncé with three simple words that sum up the artists personality: “She's the boss.”
