Narail upset defending champions Satkhira in the first semifinal of the Walton Inter District Volleyball Championship at the kabaddi stadium yesterday.
It was, however, a fiercely contested affair as Satkhira won the first game 25-18. But Narail won the second one 25-18. Satkhira bounced back in the third set winning 25-20. Remarkably, Narail fought back even harder and produced their best form later as they won the last two games by 25-20 and 15-11 points.
In the second semifinal, Pabna ousted Khulna 25-19, 25-20 and 25-13 to register a straight 3-0 game win and are now all set to meet Narail in the final.
The final will be held today.
