Rajshahi University authorities have said the certificates of intern doctors at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital have not been frozen.
Reports run in this regard are false and motivated, they said.
A press release signed by Rajshahi University Public Relations Department Administrator Professor Md Elias Hossain was issued in this regard on Tuesday.
“Such reports are baseless and motivated,” the press release said. “The RU authorities did not freeze the issue of certificates to RMCH students.”
The presser was issued hours after such reports were run in several media quoting Rajshahi University Vice Chancellor Mizan Uddin.
The VC had said such move had come in wake of attack on journalists by intern doctors at Rajshahi medical at the hospital premises on Sunday.
The intern doctors later later went on strike demanding unconditional apology from journalists.
