Chittagong rail communication with Dhaka and Sylhet resumed nearly 18 hours after miscreants uprooted tracks in Brahmanbaria’s Quasba.
Chittagong Divisional Railway Manager SM Murad Hossain told the Dhaka Tribune rail communications were restored around 11:30pm Tuesday night.
Miscreants had uprooted rail tracks in Quasba area in the early hours of Tuesday, he said. The lines are operational now.
Rail links were a prime target ahead and during the opposition-called 48-hour nationwide blockade programme.
Train communications were affected amidst sabotage in Mymensingh, Brahmanbaria, Pabna, Gaibandha and Lalmonirhat.
