The real estate and housing companies have expressed contentment over the presence of customers and sale of apartments and plots in REHAB Summer Fare.
The companies which took part in “REHAB Summer Fair 2013” alongside REHAB leaders said they were satisfied seeing customers’ interest to purchase flats and plots from the fare.
The realtors, however, claimed that though Friday and Saturday are weekly holidays, many of city dwellers did not come to the fare due to the continuous rain.
A customer relations manager of a renowned real estate company told the Dhaka Tribune “Customers’ presence and their interests to purchase and book flats and plots were satisfactory.”
“In the four-day long fare, the number of customers was more than our expectation. Besides, sales increased in our office alongside the fare stall.”
He further added it would be good if the fair committee decides to extend it as customers could not come due to rain on Friday and yesterday.
REHAB general secretary in-charge Md Wahiduzzaman told the Dhaka Tribune: “Our target was to introduce the buyers with new products, give them ideas and help them plan to buy plots and apartments. The customers also responded to our offers.”
Meanwhile, the customers of the fair also expressed satisfaction over different discount offers from the companies.
Ashraful Alam, official of a private bank, who booked a flat in the fair told the Dhaka Tribune: “I am satisfied over the discount offers and loan facilities offered by the realtors.”
The four-day long housing fair began on June 26 aiming to promote housing products and projects, and help the consumers make their plans.
The closing ceremony will be held at 7pm on July 1 at the Bangabandhu International Convention Centre in the capital’s Agargaon.
A total of 120 REHAB member developers, three building material companies and three financial companies attended the fair. Besides, seven real estate and land developer companies were co-sponsors.
The organisers expected a good exhibition with greater participation of buyers that would help them to promote their products as the government’s decision in favour of the sector encourages both the customers and people involved in this business.
