Flying drone in Bangladesh airspace banned

Civil Aviation Authority, Bangladesh (CAAB) on Thursday imposed a ban on the operation of any flying object like drone, remotely piloted aircraft system and remote control plane/toy plane, in the Bangladesh airspace without its prior permission. “All are requested to obtain prior written permission from the CAAB minimum 45 days before flying such object,” said CAAB public relations officer Rezaul Karim. CAAB sources said the authorities have taken the decision on security grounds following reported usages of drones and such devices in the country’s airspace.
