A crude bomb exploded on a road in front of the old Ramna Police Station in Dhaka on Friday night.
The explosion occurred around 7:45pm, Abdul Al Mohsin, a duty officer (sub-inspector) at Ramna Model Police Station, said.
“We received reports that miscreants had detonated a crude bomb on the road. Our patrol team has visited the scene and will take necessary action,” he said.
Police were reviewing closed-circuit television footage to identify and arrest those involved, he added.
He could not confirm whether anyone was injured in the incident.
