Advance tickets for trains on March 25 will be available on Saturday as part of the ongoing ticket sales, with a total of 35,935 seats allocated for trains departing from Dhaka, according to Bangladesh Railway’s planned measures to ensure a smooth Eid journey for passengers.
Advance ticket sales for intercity trains for the holy Eid-ul-Fitr began on Friday, with tickets for March 24 available online on the same day.
Tickets will be available online starting at 8am, according to the plan.
Meanwhile, tickets for intercity trains in the eastern region will be available from 2pm.
Additionally, as in previous years, advance tickets for intercity trains will be sold under a special arrangement seven days ahead of departure.
For passenger convenience, 100% of the tickets will be sold online, and tickets purchased under this special arrangement will be non-refundable.
According to Bangladesh Railway’s decision, tickets for March 24 were sold last Friday.
Tickets for March 26 will be sold on March 16, tickets for March 27 on March 17, tickets for March 28 on March 18, tickets for March 29 on March 19, and tickets for March 30 on March 20.
Depending on the sighting of the moon, tickets for March 31, April 1, and April 2 may also be sold.
Additionally, based on passenger requests, 25% of the tickets will be available from the originating station before departure.
Each passenger is allowed to purchase tickets only once in advance and may acquire a maximum of four seats.
