Bangladesh Railway will begin selling advance tickets for post-Eid return train journeys on March 24.
The information was shared by Bangladesh Railway Director General Md Afzal Hossain during an inter-ministerial meeting held at Bidyut Bhaban in Dhaka on Sunday afternoon.
As in previous years, intercity train tickets will be sold under a special arrangement, with 100% of the tickets available online for the convenience of passengers.
According to Bangladesh Railway's decision, advance ticket sales for intercity trains after Eid will be scheduled as follows:
- Tickets for April 3 will be available on March 24
- Tickets for April 4 will be available on March 25
- Tickets for April 5 will be available on March 26
- Tickets for April 6 will be available on March 27
- Tickets for April 7 will be available on March 28
- Tickets for April 8 will be available on March 29
- Tickets for April 9 will be available on March 30
Additionally, based on moon sighting, tickets for March 31, April 1, and April 2 may also be sold.
Bangladesh Railway further announced that, upon passengers' request, 25% of the tickets will be available from the departure station before the journey begins.
Each passenger will be allowed to purchase advance tickets only once, with a maximum of four seats.
Furthermore, no tickets will be refunded.
