The Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) has issued instructions for commuting on certain roads in the capital as Titumir College students continue their protest, blocking roads on Friday.
The students placed bamboo barricades on the road in front of the college.
Due to the protest, the Traffic Division (Gulshan) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police has issued new instructions regarding passenger movement and vehicle traffic.
These instructions were posted on the verified Facebook page of the Traffic Gulshan Division around 3:45 PM on Friday.
The following diversions are being implemented in response to the situation:
- Drivers and passengers traveling from Banani-Kakoli to Jahangir Gate are requested to use the flyover.
- Those heading from Mohakhali to Gulshan 1 via Amtoli are advised to continue straight towards Kakoli or Banani.
- Passengers traveling from Banani or Kakoli towards Amtoli can go via the Mohakhali terminal.
