The Fire Service and Civil Defence has formed a five-member committee to investigate the fire incident in the secretariat.
The committee is set to investigate the cause, source, and extent of damage from the fire at the Secretariat.
The committee has been instructed to submit its report within the next seven working days.
Lieutenant Colonel Tajul Islam Chowdhury, Director of Operations and Maintenance at the Fire Service and Civil Defence Directorate has been appointed as the head of the committee.
The fire broke out in Building 7 of the Secretariat at 1:52am on Thursday.
The fire burned through the sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth floors of the building.
It took 19 units of the fire service six and a half hours to bring the fire under control.
