Gold prices have increased again in the country's market, as announced by the Bangladesh Jewelers Association (Bajus), on Wednesday.
The price has been raised by a maximum of Tk2,088 per bhori, setting the new price.
As a result of this increase, the price of one bhori of good-quality gold will be Tk140,586.
This information was shared in a press release signed by the Chairman of Bajus's Price Determination and Price Monitoring Standing Committee, Masudur Rahman.
Bajus said that the price of refined gold has decreased in the local market. Considering the overall situation, the new price of gold has been determined.
The new price will be effective from Thursday.
Previously, on Saturday, the price of gold had been reduced by up to Tk1,773 per bhori.
With the price increase, the price of the highest-quality gold per bhori will be Tk140,586, 21-carat gold will be Tk134,194 per bhori, 18-carat gold will be Tk115,030 per bhori, and traditional gold will be sold for Tk94,478 per bhori.
Although the price of gold has increased, the price of silver remains unchanged.
The price of silver per bhori, according to category, will be Tk2,578 for 22-carat, Tk2,449 for 21-carat, Tk2,111 for 18-carat, and Tk1,586 for traditional silver.
